Reference Services
Reference service is available in all branch libraries. The Hanford Branch serves as the reference center for the County. Microforms of Kings County newspapers and some periodicals are available to researchers.
Patrons also have access to several electronic resources including:
- World Book Online
- InfoTrac General Reference Center Gold and Health & Wellness Resource Center (newspaper, reference, & periodical index -- many with access to full text).
Kings County patrons may request books that are not available in their local branch but that belong to member libraries of the San Joaquin Valley Library System. There is a 50 cent fee for each title requested.
It is also possible for reference staff to request books or periodicals that are not in the San Joaquin Valley Library System. There is a $5.00 fee per item requested; please inquire at your local branch library.
