The following rules apply to the use of videos & DVDs:
- EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2009 THERE IS NO LONGER A CHARGE FOR VIDEOS AND DVDS Patrons are reminded that material contained on video cassettes may be subject to Federal Copyright Law. These videotapes and DVD's are for personal home viewing and may not be reproduced, nor shown to groups in public meeting places, halls, churches, etc. They may not be shown in the library, as such exhibition constitutes "public performance" for which we are not authorized. Patrons who ignore this caution are subject to any and all applicable sections of the U. S. Code. The Library is also subject to these laws.
- There is a LIMIT OF 5 videos or DVDs a patron may check out.
- Patrons are reminded that videotapes must be rewound after use.
- Videos and DVDs are subject to sun damage and warping. Patrons should avoid leaving tapes and DVDs in their cars or near sources of heat.
- Patrons are reminded that they are not to tamper with the videotape in any way, i.e. take it apart if for some reason it does not work.
- Patrons are advised that the Library is not responsible for any damage to patron owned equipment as a result of utilizing library owned video cassettes or DVDs.
- Replacement cost for a damaged case (not the cassette itself) is in the FEE SCHEDULE.
